Newark, NY (May 20, 2017)--Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York distinguishes trusted companies that work hard to develop strong and ethical management practices, community relations, and goodwill. The Torch Award is the highest recognition given to area businesses by BBB.

Marshall Exteriors, based in Newark, NY is one of this year’s Torch Award recipients.

BBB’s Torch Award for Ethics seeks to elevate and celebrate the commitment made by for-profit and nonprofit enterprises to the highest standards of leadership character and organizational ethics. The award spotlights the practices of companies that generate a high level of trust among their employees, customers, and their communities. An independent judging committee reviewed each application received by BBB and scored each business to identify the winners.

Adam Olschewske opened Marshall Exteriors in 2000 with one employee, himself. Over the past 17 years, Olschewske grew the company from the trunk of his car to a 12,500 sq. ft. facility managing close to 50 employees. "Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that it would grow from the trunk of my car with 2 bloody thumbs and a hammer, to accepting this honor from BBB," said Olschewske.

Companies recognized in Upstate New York join hundreds of BBB Torch Award winners selected around the country for marketplace best practices and excelling in ethical business practices. Marshall Exteriors will be submitting their application in May.
